Presentations – Sign posting Language, Introductions (4 elements)

Homework:
Error correct your essay – do some self study work on areas you are weak on (e.g. articles & determiners, countable & uncountable nouns)

Prepare a presentation based on your Essay topic. Come prepared to speak for 5 – 7 minutes.

(1) Write a couple of paragraphs in your self study blog/folder/notebook about what you learned about presentation skills from watching the speakers today.

(2) Prepare for the Progress Test. The test will be in 3 parts:
(A)Pronunciation, (B) Grammar & (C) Summarizing, Referencing & Citing Skills. The Grammar section will be in the form of a CAE Use of English exam and include 3 tasks – Part 1: Multiple Choice Cloze, Part 2: Open Cloze and Part 5: Key Word Transformations. A good way to revise for the test would be to practise with similar tasks – go to
