Next week is an in class writing activity, so please bring with you the paper (loose leaf as you will be handing this in for marking)and stationery you need. You may also bring a dictionary and up to three sources (e.g. books, magazines, articles printed from the internet). You will have 2 hours to plan, write and edit your essay. Your word limit is 500 and your answer MUST include references and citations in order to pass. Your topic is set out below.

Choose one European Union country and discuss how well it has coped with the recent financial crisis. What measures did its government introduce, how successful were they and what is the state of the economy now?
