The Allusionist (note the pun in the title) is a podcast about language and includes interesting discussions about accent, puns, translations, small talk, branding, indefinite hyperbolic numerals and the misuse of namaste. The podcast is available to download from Radiotopia or you can subscribe for free from iTunes.

The Phronistery (the title is a word for a place of learning or study) includes word lists, glossaries, numerals and a dictionary of obscure words.

The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry is a lighthearted programme which applies scientific methods to everyday problems like traffic jams or how to bake the perfect cake.
Presenter Hannah Fry believes mathematics has a role to play in everything. Do you agree? https://www.theguardian.com/science/2016/jun/19/hannah-fry-interview-maths

Twenty Thousand Hertz is a podcast about the importance of sound and was the source for the Allusionist’s programme on the development of American accents (https://www.20k.org/episodes/accents). Other episodes discuss the Watergate scandal, Siri, audio descriptions and the sounds that make us afraid to fly.
