Next week there will be a Progress Test. The test will start at 2pm sharp and will last for 2 hours. PLEASE BE ON TIME.

The test will cover all the work that we have done in class over the last 10 weeks.
The test will be in 6 parts

  1. Legal principles
  2. Error correction (modals, articles, countable and uncountable, verb structure)
  3. Negotiation language
  4. Writing a covering letter
  5. Grammar: open cloze (see today's lesson)

25%                 Progress Test
25%                 Self Study& Class work
(a)Participation in class and group activities (including seminar)
(b) Homework & Self Study  - this can take the form of a notebook, folder or blog

Our last lesson on 12th December will be a tutorial. Please bring along evidence of your self study as this is worth 25% of your final grade. Your self study should contain:
  • All your homework
  • New vocabulary – including word lists, mind maps, example sentences & pronunciation
  • Links to useful websites
  • Extra activities for problem areas
  • Error correction of written work
  • Articles from English magazines or websites that you find interesting
  • Questions & comments about the course for your teacher or other students
  • Reflection on your own progress
  • Your responses to questions set on this blog
12th December will also be your last chance to complete any of the assessments you have missed, e.g. presentation (Flavia, Nicola) and the summary (Nicola, Natalia, Irene).
