Dictionary Skills
- Using your dictionary, compare pace with speed, tempo, rhythm. Are they close synonyms? Which would you use when talking about a match or a race? Which would you use when talking about a piece of music or a song?
- In what contexts can the noun criticism have a positive meaning? Is this also true of the verb? Look at the example sentences given in the dictionary.
