Homework:
Next week will be your final speaking assessment. Please come prepared to give a presentation on the same topic as your essay. Think about the aim of your presentation and your audience (what do they want to know, how are you going to get and maintain their attention?) You will probably need to retink and/or restructure your essay slightly. Make sure that you have a strong introduction and conclusion and use lots of signposting language. Prepare to speak for 7 - 8 minutes and allow for another 2 minutes for questions. Your presentation is worth 25% of your final grade.
