During the Global Financial Crisis, many companies have gone bankrupt.
Richard Branson founded the Virgin Group of companies.
If you want to go into business, you need to write a business plan.
As manager you will be in charge of the day to day running of the business.

Homework/Self Study
  1. Your progress test will be on 8th May (there is no lesson on 1st May). The test will include questions on the grammar and vocabulary from units 4, 5 and 6 as well as reading and listening tasks. A good way to revise is to do the exercises in the review section (p.68 - 69 ) and the Vocabulary and Key Language exercises on pages 141, 143, 145
  2. Self Study: Write a short obituary (approximately 150 words) for a famous person who has died recently, e.g. Margaret Thatcher, Paolo Soleri http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2013/apr/10/paolo-soleri-architect-dies-93?INTCMP=SRCH
  3. And/Or Write a short response (approximately 150 words) to the following statement:
A difficult childhood helps you become a good business person.
