1.     Parliamentary sovereignty

We are ruled by rules not rulers.

4.     Discharging the burden of proof

Criminal – beyond reasonable doubt

Civil – on the balance of probabilities

5.     Ignorance of the law is no excuse

The punishment must fit the crime

Every judgment must be unbiased and can not appear biased
