Progress Test:
Taken from Units 3 & 7 and from the Legal English we covered in class. It will include questions on:

• international relations vocabulary
• subordinate conjunctions and clauses
• modal perfect - error correction exercise
• conditionals - error correction exercise
• linking phrases for giving an opinion
• reading skills - match missing phrases from a text, true/false answers
• listening skills - ordering statements, identifying opinions
• legal principles - paragraph writing
• false friends in Legal English
• phrase completion - 2nd conditional, mixed conditional

The best way to prepare is to do something (e.g. listening to the CD Rom, the extra practice on pages 139 & 147) rather than just reading over your notes.

Self Study:
(1) Write up your draft law.
(2) Keep a record of all the exercises/revision you do in preparation for next week's test - this will also count towards your self study.
